Ingredients
  

  • 1 15-oz can no-bean chili (such as Hormel)
  • 16 oz Velveeta cheese
  • 1 cup milk or use half-and-half for a richer, creamier dip
  • 3 teaspoons chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper for a little heat
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika adds a deeper flavor
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice for a touch of brightness
  • Tortilla chips for dipping
  • 1/4 cup sour cream for extra creaminess
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder for an additional savory flavor

Instructions
 

  • Gather all your ingredients. Cut the Velveeta into smaller cubes so it melts evenly. Open the can of chili and set it aside.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the Velveeta cheese and milk. Stir frequently until the cheese melts completely. It shouldn’t take long!
  • Once the cheese is melted, pour in the can of no-bean chili. Stir to combine. This will add flavor and texture to your dip.
  • Take a moment to mix in the chili powder, cumin, cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, sea salt, and garlic powder. Stir until everything is well-combined.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the fresh lime juice. The lime will balance out the richness and add a refreshing taste.
  • Transfer the queso to a serving bowl. Cant forget those tortilla chips! Dive right in and enjoy.
