  • 2 teaspoons sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper

  • First up, preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). High heat is essential for achieving that perfect crispy skin!
  • In a medium bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon zest, roasted garlic powder, caramelized onion powder, Tuscan herb seasoning, sea salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper. Mix it well until everything is combined into a smooth paste.
  • Place the chicken thighs in a large bowl or zip-top bag. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring each piece is coated evenly. If you have time, let them marinate for at least 30 minutes to enhance the flavor. However, if you’re in a hurry, you can proceed to the next step right away.
  • Take a baking sheet and line it with aluminum foil for easy cleanup. Place a wire rack on top of the baking sheet. This allows for airflow, helping the skin to crisp up beautifully. Arrange the marinated chicken thighs skin-side up on the rack.
  • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) and the skin is golden brown and crispy.
  • You can turn on the broiler for the last few minutes to get that extra crunch, but keep an eye on it to prevent burning.
